1. Who We Are & Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Prompt Kitchen — AI Prompt Refiner Chrome Extension (the "Extension") handles information when you install and use it. The Extension is developed and published by Turiy4 ("we", "us", "our"), a sole developer entity. Contact: turiy4support@gmail.com.

This policy applies only to the Chrome Extension distributed under the listed Item ID. It does not cover third-party AI providers (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, xAI) or the payment/licensing provider (Dodo Payments) — each of those has its own privacy policy.

Single Purpose: The Extension exists for one purpose only — to help users refine, restructure, and improve text prompts before sending them to large language models. All data handling described below is solely in service of that purpose.

Plain-English Summary

  • We (Turiy4) operate no servers that receive your prompts, AI conversations, browsing history, or personal data.
  • Your prompt text is transmitted directly from your browser to the AI provider you choose, using your own API key.
  • If you purchase a Premium license, your license key is sent to Dodo Payments for activation/validation only.
  • Your API keys, prompt history (last 50 entries), and preferences are stored locally on your device via chrome.storage.local.
  • We do not sell, rent, or transfer your data to third parties for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the Extension's single purpose.

2. Data We Collect, Use, Store & Share

The following table provides full disclosure for every category of user data the Extension touches, mapped to the Chrome Web Store user-data disclosure categories.

User-Provided Content
(prompt text you choose to refine)		 The text prompt you type or paste into the Extension popup / inline modal in order to refine it. You enter it manually into the Extension UI. The Extension does not read or capture text from web pages, form fields, or input boxes outside its own UI. Sent to your chosen LLM provider with a system instruction (the "cooking mode") so the model can return a refined version. Used for no other purpose. The latest refined prompts (up to the most recent 50 entries) are saved locally in chrome.storage.local for the History feature. You can clear history at any time from the Options page. Transmitted directly from your browser, over HTTPS, to the LLM provider you select. Not shared with Turiy4, advertisers, analytics services, or any other third party.
Financial / Purchase Information
(Premium license key)		 The license key you receive after purchasing a Premium plan, plus a per-installation activation/instance ID. You paste the license key into the Premium tab of the Options page. The instance ID is generated by Dodo Payments on activation. Used to verify that your Premium entitlement is active so the Extension can unlock Premium features. Stored locally in chrome.storage.local. Transmitted over HTTPS to Dodo Payments (dodopayments.com/privacy) for license activation, periodic validation (once every 24 hours), and deactivation. We do not see or receive your payment-card data; payment processing is handled entirely by Dodo Payments under their privacy policy.

User Activity

Website Content
(text, images, sounds, videos, hyperlinks on pages you visit)		 Not collected. Although the Extension's content script runs on pages (to render the floating chef icon and inline refinement modal), it does not read, scrape, transmit, or store any content from the pages you visit.

3. Permissions & Why the Extension Requests Them

storage — Required to save your API keys, license key, prompt history, and preferences locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. No data is sent to any Turiy4 server.
clipboardWrite — Required so the Extension can copy the refined prompt to your clipboard when you click the "Copy Refined" button.
alarms — Required to schedule a single periodic license-key validation check (once every 24 hours) against Dodo Payments for Premium users. No alarms are used for tracking.
host_permissions: <all_urls> — Required so the content script can inject the floating chef trigger button (👨‍🍳) and the inline refinement modal onto any page where you choose to use the Extension. The content script does not read, scrape, or transmit page content. It only renders UI on top of the page.
Remote endpoints contacted — Only the following hosts, only when you trigger an action:
  • api.openai.com, api.anthropic.com, api.groq.com, generativelanguage.googleapis.com, api.x.ai, or a custom endpoint you configure — for prompt refinement requests using your own API key.
  • live.dodopayments.com — for Premium license activation, validation, and deactivation only.

4. How Data Is Shared

Turiy4 does not operate any backend server that stores or processes your data. The only outbound transmissions the Extension makes are:

  1. To the AI provider you select — your prompt text and your API key are sent directly from your browser to that provider's HTTPS endpoint, only at the moment you click "Refine". The provider's handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policy (please review it for the provider you choose).
  2. To Dodo Payments — only if you are a Premium user: your license key and an installation instance ID are sent over HTTPS for activation, periodic validation, and deactivation. See Dodo Payments' privacy policy.

We do not share, sell, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer your data to advertisers, data brokers, analytics companies, or any unrelated third parties.

5. Our Certifications (per Chrome Web Store Program Policies)

In accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, we affirm the following:

  • We do not sell user data to third parties.
  • We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the Extension's single purpose (refining prompts for large language models).
  • We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for any lending purposes.
  • We do not use user data for serving advertisements, including personalized or interest-based advertising.
  • We do not allow humans to read user data, except: (a) with your affirmative consent for specific support requests you initiate by emailing us; (b) when necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse; or (c) to comply with applicable law.

6. Data Storage, Retention & Security

Storage location: All Extension data (API keys, license key, prompt history, settings) is stored exclusively in chrome.storage.local on the device where the Extension is installed. This is a sandboxed storage area provided by the Chrome browser and accessible only to this Extension.

Retention: Data stored locally persists until you (a) delete it from the Options page, (b) clear Chrome's extension storage for this Extension, or (c) uninstall the Extension. Because Turiy4 does not have a server, we retain no data on our side at all.

Security measures:

  • The Extension uses Manifest V3 with a strict Content Security Policy.
  • All outbound network requests use HTTPS / TLS.
  • The Extension contains no remote-hosted code; all JavaScript executed is bundled inside the published Extension package.
  • No third-party analytics, tracking, or telemetry libraries are included.

Despite reasonable security measures, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for the safe-keeping of your own API keys and license key on your device.

7. Your Rights & How to Exercise Them

Because Turiy4 does not collect or store personal data on any server, most data-subject rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, and PIPEDA are inherently satisfied — there is no remote profile of you for us to access, correct, or delete.

You can exercise direct control over the data the Extension stores on your device at any time:

  • Access & portability: Use the "Export History" button on the Options page to download a copy of your local prompt history.
  • Correction: Edit your API keys, license key, or settings on the Options page at any time.
  • Deletion: Click "Clear History" or "Reset Settings" on the Options page, or uninstall the Extension, which removes all locally stored data.
  • Deactivation of Premium license: Use the "Deactivate License" button on the Premium tab. This will instruct Dodo Payments to release the activation slot.
  • Right to lodge a complaint: EU/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their national data-protection authority.

8. International Users & Cross-Border Transfers

Because Turiy4 does not operate servers that receive your data, no cross-border transfer is performed by us. However, the AI providers and Dodo Payments may operate servers outside your country of residence. By choosing to use those providers through the Extension, you understand that your prompt text or license key may be transmitted to and processed in jurisdictions other than your own, in accordance with each provider's own privacy policy.

9. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, e.g. 16 in parts of the EU). We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has installed the Extension and provided data, please contact us and we will provide guidance on local deletion.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features, new third-party providers, or new legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" and "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, will note the change in the Extension's release notes. Your continued use of the Extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
